Philly kid Lehigh bound

The Philadelphia Daily News (if you need a user/password, try hooptime/hooptime3) reports Zahir Carrington of Masterman H.S. in Philly is headed to Lehigh. According to the Daily News:
Carrington, a 6-6, 200-pound senior forward at Julia Masterman High, has made an oral commitment to Lehigh. He also took an official visit to Holy Cross and was involved to varying degrees with La Salle, Rider and Howard.
Basketball U. also listed him as someone Penn was trying to recruit.

Hoop Scoop listed him as the Philly area's No. 13 junior last season.

An older story, from the summer before his sophomore year, had this to say about Carrington, who played in the PUREGAME Greater Philadelphia Summer League that summer:
Another interesting player to watch is 6'5 (6'6 on a good day) Zahir Carrington from Julia Masterman High School. Carrington who has endless limbs is only a rising 10th grader, but his potential is evident, especially on the defensive end. Carrington is still very raw and is relatively new to the game, but he is worth many early looks.
