Holy Cross headed to Puerto RIco

The University of Akron's announcement of its 2005-06 Non-League Schedule includes mention of Holy Cross as one of the teams joining the zips at the San Juan Shootout:
Akron will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dec. 17-22 for the San Juan Shootout, with games being played from Dec. 19-21. Including UA, the eight-team field consists of Clemson, Holy Cross, Liberty, Mississippi State, Mount St. Mary's, Puerto Rico Mayaguez and Tennessee-Chattanooga. Mississippi State and Chattanooga were NCAA Tournament teams in 2005, while Clemson and Holy Cross took part in the NIT. Seedings for the event will be announced at a later date.

The nonleague road schedule will send Harvard to Holy Cross, which reached the NIT last season, Boston University, Sacred Heart, Lehigh and Albany.
And speaking of Lehigh, the University of Washington has made it official. From Seattle TV station KING 5:
In non-conference home games this season, the Huskies will play Gonzaga on December 4th, as well as American University, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Eastern Washington, Lehigh and Cornell.
UW will be a tough test of AU and Lehigh. The Huskies return three of their top five scorers from a team that made it to the Sweet 16 last season.
